Atlanta, GA – RIVERDALE - Bobby Rice, Jr., age 53, transitioned peacefully at his residence on October 24, 2025.

Bobby was born on January 15, 1972, to Robert L. Rice, Sr. and the late Mattie Rice.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mattie Rice; his grandparents, Roland and Jimmy Rice; Hubert and Bettie Earvin; his best friend, Cameroun Scruggs, whose memory he cherished throughout his life.

Bobby was a 1992 graduate of Brainerd High School, where he developed his deep love for music. He later became a member of Reel Tight, performing alongside fellow members Bobby Torrence, Danny Johnson, and Reginald Long.

He worked for UPS until his health declined.

Bobby accepted Christ at an early age. Even through life's challenges, he remained steadfast in his faith, always declaring, "God is good!" He was a member of 2819 Church in Atlanta, Georgia, under the leadership of Pastor Mitchell.

Bobby leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, LaTosha Rice; daughters, LaTesha (Anna) Rice, Keiara Rice, Brianna Rice, Makai Rice, Taylor Burton, and Alexis Williams; sons, Kristian Rice and Jermichael Springs; father, Robert L. Frances) Rice, Sr.; sisters, DeHaviland (Travis) Douglas and Mirriam Rice; brother, Edward Rice; and bonus brother, Dedric Bradley. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever cherish his life and legacy.

The Rice and Earvin families sincerely thank everyone for their love, prayers, and support during this time of loss.
