Robert D. ‘Bob’ Riddle, age 78 passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024 at Springfield Masonic Community. Bob was born September 22, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio. Bob was a life-long woodworker, starting at the family business, HJ Upperman & Sons as a cabinetmaker and draftsman. Later Bob owned a successful woodwork repair/refinishing business working for major homebuilders all over central Ohio where he was known as ‘The Wood Doctor’. Bob was a Mason and enjoyed his time serving with his in-laws, J.O. and Lou Shore. A big OSU fan, Bob never missed a basketball or football game and spent many years as an OSU Basketball season ticket holder.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert C. and Vera Grace (Upperman) Riddle, sister Sherry Huffman, loving wife Sue, Sister in-law Faye Riddle and Mother In-law Lou Shore. Bob is survived by siblings Shirley (David) Bendau, Thomas Riddle and William (Linda) Riddle, Brother-In- Law Kenny Huffman, Father-In-Law, J.O. Shore, Special cousin Mel Shaver ,Daughters Tamara (Kevin), Taryn (Gretchen), Tracey (Mike) and Tricia (Morgan), Grandchildren Amanda (Bryon) Reed, Michael Coburn, Ashley (Cody) Cline, Max Allen and Tyler Coburn. Also survived by his adored Great-Grandchildren Harper Reed and Emery and Colt Cline and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 with service at 4PM.
