Robert Charles "Bob" Rideout

Robert Charles "Bob" Rideout of Fulton, MD died peacefully on July 18, 2025 after a brief period of hospice care. Born August 18, 1938, Bob was the son of Henry Rideout and Fern Ingalsbe who raised Bob in the San Francisco Bay Area. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Rideout. He is survived by his sons Daniel Rideout, of Severn, MD, Dale Rideout, of Cameron Park, CA, and Scott Rideout, of Houston, TX. He is also survived by his brother Roger, of Carson City, NV, his brother Jim, of Phoenix, AZ, and his sister Merrilynn, of Falmouth, MA.
Bob joined the Army after high school, serving for six years, four in the reserves and two on active duty in Vicenza, Italy. In the Army he was a truck driver, a career that he continued for the next 40+ years.
Bob's passion was riding motorcycles, both on the street and in the dirt. Bob shared his love of motorcycles with his sons, Dale, Scott, and Dan. He also was an outstanding bowler and fisherman. He was a die-hard San Francisco 49er fan.
