Robert Richard Rittiner (Robbie, Red) passed away October 1, 2022 surround by his brother and four sisters.
Born to Henry and Margaret (Liska) Rittiner April 6, 1955, he was the third of six children. He is survived by his brother, David Rittiner (Vickie) and his four sisters, Cathy Williams (Mark), Mary Boyko (David), Elizabeth Lupas (Larry), and Eileen Deichsel (Carl). He was much loved and will be missed by his nephews Chris Boyko, Matt Boyko, Mark Lupas, Hank Rittiner, and his nieces Ellen Rittiner, Rachel Mercer, Jenny Deichsel, Anna Deichsel, and Laura Lupas. He leaves behind many, many friends in Georgia and the US Virgin Islands.
Anyone who met Robbie soon found out he was born in Houston, TX and proud of it. Anyone who knew Robbie for more than five minutes knew how he felt about the Dallas Cowboys.
Robbie's working life spanned many diverse fields from starting two businesses on his own - Tree Removal Service and Dump Truck Hauling, to long distance trucking, to real estate. After moving to his much loved adopted home, the US Virgin Islands, Robbie was a Master Scuba Diver leading diving tours as well as a captain piloting passenger ferries and water taxis.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 8 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040. The family will receive friends at the funeral home preceding the service from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.
