From as early as I could remember, I looked up to my Dad. In my eyes, "He was the strongest man in the world! Nothing could hurt him!" With him there to love and protect me and my brother Austin Edward Roberson, we had nothing to fear! There was another side to him when he was with family, a tender and loving side. I remember he would ask us "Have I ever showed you Boys how the cow eats corn?" And before we had a chance to reply he would grab our leg just above our knee where there was thick muscles and he would mimic with his hand a cows mouth chewing on our leg. This was apparently a highly ticklish spot when someone applied the right pressure. My brother and I would laugh and scream trying desperately to wiggle free of his grip. Looking back this is probably one of my fondest memories of my father sharing affection for us. Though he maintained a stern character most of the time, he made many sacrifices so that my brother and I would never go have to go without. He did everything possible to ensure that we were happy and healthy growing up. He always said that "family comes first." I regret not being able to spend more time with him in his final days, but I suspect that he pushed me away both to maintain his dignity and to protect my heart from having to see him suffer as he fought the terminal cancer that was spreading inside of him. I am proud to have had him as a father, and I am thankful for the Love and Memories that we shared, they will live on in my heart and mind forever! I love and miss you so much Dad! R.I.P Dad.

I had the pleasure of working with Bob for 31 years. He was a very ornery & funny man. He is greatly missed! Sending prayers to the family.

Bob was a great boss and friend whom i respected and enjoyed working for! Lots of great laughs with this man. He taught me to be stern with workers and was a no nonsense person. He was tough on the outside but once you got past that wall he was a very kind caring person.
Prayers for the family!
