Robert Robinson Obituary
Robert J. Robinson, 72, of Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Cavalier, ND, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, at his home in Grand Forks, ND.
Robert was born March 10, 1950, in Grafton, ND, to Alex and Lillian (Nordstrom) Robinson. He grew up in Hamilton, ND and attended school in Hamilton. On February 19, 1971, Robert married Rita Lindenberger in Bathgate, ND. After their marriage they lived in Cavalier, and in 2015 moved to Grand Forks, ND. Robert worked at American Crystal Sugar in Drayton, ND, for 42 years.
Robert enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the casinos, and spending time with family and grandchildren. He enjoyed visiting and could befriend anyone he met.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; children: Tona (John) Sweeney, Breckenridge, MN and Mark Robinson, Casselton, ND; grandchildren: Brady, Megan, Alexis, and Madison Robinson, Brandi Vistad (Tanner Tschann), Taylor and Lillie Sweeney; sister, Betty Nelson; brother, Allen (Dorothy) Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, December 9, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. The funeral service will be recorded and uploaded on Robert’s page on the Askew Funeral Home website on Sunday, December, 11, 2022.
