Robert D. Robinson, 1945-2025

New York Mills, NY: Robert D. Robinson, 80, passed away, Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the St. Luke's Home in New Hartford.

He was born in Niskayuna, NY, April 12, 1945, a son of the late Robert G. and Esther M. (Streeter) Robinson. He was raised and educated in Utica where he attended local schools. On June 27, 1964, Robert married the former Patricia A. Citrin at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, in New Hartford. The couple shared in a union blessed with over fifty-seven years of marriage prior to Mrs. Robinson's passing on March 9, 2022. At one time, Mr. Robinson was a dedicated and proud member of the New York Mills Fire Department for over fifty years. Robert along with his wife Pat lovingly fostered many children over the years tending to their every need.

He is survived by four sons, Robert D. (Deena) Robinson, Mark S. Robinson and his special friend, Susan Bateson, Scott Robinson, and Christopher Robinson; daughters, Sharon Robinson and her long-time partner, Jay Timian, Karen Robinson, Elizabeth Robinson, Patty (Jeff) Kitts, Robin Scoville, Mary (Bob) Lipphardt, Penny Shingler, Nicole Robinson, Maya Robinson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and his in laws, Michael (Donna) Citrin, John Citrin, Steven (Pam) Citrin. He was preceded in death by a two daughters Judy Robinson, and Samantha Robinson; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Maryann and Craig Turner.

Calling hours will be held on Monday evening, December 1, 2025 at the Wolanin Funeral Home, 266 Main Street, New York Mills, NY, from 4-6. Mr. Robinson's funeral service and celebration of life will follow calling hours on Monday evening at 6:00 at the funeral home.
