Robert John Robson

Robert (Bob) John Robson Jr., born on November 9, 1953, and raised in Medina, OH, passed away on December 30, 2025, at his home in Albuquerque, NM.

Bob is survived by his stunning wife of 47 years, Joy Myers Robson, and their brilliant and tall children; Kathryn Kiefer, Robert J Robson III and his radiant wife Leslie Robson, his dashing father Robert J Robson Sr., as well as his sophisticated sister and debonair brother: Christy Simmons and Kyle Robson and his charming wife Terri Robson, in addition to his three saintly grandchildren: Charles Michael, Caroline Lucille and Desiderio Robert, many superior nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

Bob graduated from Medina High School (class of 1972) where he excelled in athletics and participated in academics on the side. He later attended the University of Akron where he majored in Criminal Justice. He will be remembered for his lifetime of service. Bob was a veteran of the US Navy, stationed in Honolulu, HI for 4 years. He was one of Cuyahoga Falls City's finest for 5 years as a police officer. He ended his employment career following 25 years with Central Intelligence Agency. He relished traveling the world, ultimately visiting five continents. Wherever his travels took him, he remained a dedicated and vocal Cleveland sports fan. His favorite day of the Browns season was NFL Draft Day. He was always sure this would be THE year.

Bob loved to cook, especially for his family. It was one of the many ways he showed his love. Each weekend he would open a cookbook and create a themed meal presented with music to match the cuisine. His unique humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. There will never be a more devoted dog owner. Bob was certain he knew what his dogs were thinking and would happily translate their deep thoughts. He will be greatly missed but will be lovingly remembered in the countless stories he shared about his lifetime of adventures.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Jo Ann Russell Robson, and his sister Katherine.

Bob's family and friends look forward to gathering to celebrate his life and memory on January 24th, 2026, at his home.

Bob was a true warrior against Parkinson's. He fought the disease with incredible strength and humor. Bob begrudgingly gave up his nightly dry martini but made sure everyone recognized this sacrifice. Memorial donations may be made in Bob's name to his preferred charities, The Parkinson's Foundation or the PBS Foundation.
