Robert N. "Robbie" Rodgers

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Robert Rodgers, 59, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18th, after a long and courageous battle with diabetes.
Robbie was born February 13, 1966, in Lowell, Massachusetts, he was raised, and a lifelong resident of Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Robbie loved Tewksbury as he was surrounded by his family, friends, and community he loved so deeply.
He faced his illness with quiet strength, humor, and a love for those around him. Despite the challenges he endured, Robbie never lost his spirit or his ability to bring laughter to others.
A devoted brother to Shannon Doherty and her husband, Michael Doherty; Jamie Rodgers and his wife, Kristi Rodgers; and Larry Rodgers. and devoted brother-in-law to Dale Rodgers. Robbie was also a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews Bryan, Brittany, Tyler, Brady, Brennan, and Madison Rodgers, Hanna and Sadie Doherty. He was a beloved nephew and cousin to his large extended family.
A lifelong sports fan, Robbie found great joy in cheering for his favorite teams the Boston Red Sox, the Bruins, and the Patriots. His passion for sports reflected the same loyalty, optimism, and heart that defined his life.
Robbie is preceded in death by his brother Shawn Rodgers, his loving mother, Marjorie Giles Rodgers, and many other dear family members. While his loss is deeply felt, his family takes comfort in knowing that Robbie is now reunited with them free from illness and surrounded by love.
Robbie will be remembered for his resilience and quiet strength. He will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his memory will continue to bring light and warmth to all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury, MA, on Saturday, October 25th, at 11:00 a.m. Immediately following, all are invited to join in a celebration of Robert Rodgers' life at the home of Shannon Doherty and Michael Doherty, at 76 Pike Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
