Robert "Rob" Romash, aged 55, passed away on June 9, 2024. Beloved husband of Nida Romash. Born on January 16, 1969, in New Jersey to Robert and Dixie Romash.
A true visionary, Robert's artistic journey began at the young age of 4, crafting intricate models that hinted at the creative genius within him. He graduated with honors with a degree in fine arts, specializing in Raku ceramics, a testament to his dedication and talent.
His early involvement in the development team of the first SuperSoaker in the early 90s foreshadowed his future as an innovator in the toy industry. Robert's craftsmanship extended beyond the boundaries of conventional artistry when he hand-sculpted over 100 Matchbox master patterns for Mattel Toys, showcasing his precision and skill. As the owner of Eclipse Toys, he brought joy and wonder to countless individuals through his imaginative creations.
Away from his creative pursuits, Robert found solace in his hobbies, excelling in indoor free flight competitions and securing numerous world championship aero modeling titles. His competitive spirit and relentless drive were matched only by his infectious sense of humor and zest for life.
Described as the life of the party, Robert's magnetic personality drew people to him, making him a cherished friend, mentor, and confidant. His boundless creativity, coupled with his warm and loving nature, made him a dedicated and romantic husband to Nida. Sundae, his beloved cat, held a special place in his heart, symbolizing his nurturing and compassionate spirit.
In honoring Robert's memory, let us celebrate the vibrant, multifaceted individual he was-a rare talent, a source of inspiration, and a beloved presence in the lives of those he touched. May his legacy endure through the memories and the artistry he shared with the world.
