INDIAN LAND, SC – Mr. Robert Joseph Romph, age 78, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Atrium Medical Pineville. He was born January 11, 1947, son of the late Robert Lawrence Romph and the late Mary Reilly Romph and was the husband of Lois Colson. Mr. Romph proudly served his county in the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War and was an MP. He was employed many years with Maidenform where he was Director of Manufacturing and was also employed as Adjunct Professor at Baruch College and Fashion Institute of Technology, both in New York City. Mr. Romph was an avid golfer and was a member of the Men's Golf Association at Sun City Carolinas. He just had a children's book published about his cat "Meet Mr. Max".

Mr. Romph is survived by his wife, Lois Colson; his children, Beth Romph, Jean Wilson (Jason), and James Romph; a granddaughter, Julianne Wilson; sister, Kathleen Marchand; two nephews, David and Danny; children of Lois, Robyn Shindler-Rashid (Kazi) and Matthew Shindler (Karen); and 3 grandchildren of Lois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Romph.

A Graveside Service for Mr. Romph will be held privately at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial Dept., 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Boys Town, Attn: Gift Processing, 13800 Sorensen Parkway, Omaha, NE 68138.
