Robert "Bob" P. Roth, age 82, of
Franktown, Colorado, passed away on March 2, 2026, in Parker, Colorado.
Bob was born in 1943 and spent much of his life serving his community and caring deeply for those around him. He worked for many years as a Customer Engineer III with AT&T, beginning in the early 1970s until his retirement in 1992. Following his career in telecommunications, Bob continued serving his community as a school bus driver for Douglas County School District RE from 1994 to 2009, where he was known for his kindness and steady presence for the students he transported each day. Bob proudly served his country in the United States National Guard during the mid to late 1960s.
He was deeply involved in his community and gave his time generously. Bob was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, where he brought smiles to many as "Boro the Clown" at parades and events. He also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Franktown Fire Protection District and was a proud member of the Rocky Mountain Model A Club, sharing his appreciation for classic automobiles with fellow enthusiasts. In addition, Bob volunteered at the Help & Hope Thrift Store, where he enjoyed helping others in the community.
One of Bob's greatest passions was genealogy. He devoted countless hours researching family histories and helping others trace their roots. His dedication to the craft was legendary among family and friends-at one point creating a family history document so long it could stretch down and back along a hallway in his home.
Bob married the love of his life, Donaline (Johnson) Roth, on September 21, 1968. They shared many years together until her passing on August 29, 2020. Their life together was rooted in faith, family, and community.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his children, Renee (Shawn) Brown of Pueblo West, Colorado and Holly (Robert) Leypoldt of Elizabeth, Colorado. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Ryan, Blakelee (Josh), Beckah (Brandon), Robbie, Raelynn, Daniel, Connor (Alexis), Cody, David (Melissa), and Alecia (Justin); and great-grandchildren NovaRae, Mae, and Vivianne. Bob is further survived by his sister, Elizabeth Harris of Quinton, Virginia, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Bob was a man of strong Lutheran faith, a devoted family man, and someone who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His warmth, humor, and dedication to community will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held on April 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Pikes Peak Grange, 3093 N State Hwy 83,
Franktown, CO 80116.
