Robert Laurence Rupiper, 81, of Klondike, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of
Monday July 24th , 2023.

Bob was born at home in the Town of Bagley, Wisconsin on February 7, 1942 to Laurence ‘Bud’ and Vernadine
(Schroth) Rupiper. He was the second of eight children and he graduated from Suring High School in 1960.
Bob married his high school sweetheart Nicole ‘Niki’ Lietzan on September 29 th , 1962. They moved to their current
home in the Town of Brazeau on Father’s Day of 1965. There they raised their four children and made some
wonderful memories with many great parties.

Bob worked for Holtger Brothers right out of high school then worked as a cabinet maker and carpenter at
Chadwick’s for several years. Bob joined his father in the insurance and real estate business in the mid 1960’s. He
was appointed Town of Brazeau Clerk in the 1970’s as a side hustle and was re-elected for many years. Bob and
Niki started Rupiper Tax Service in the late 70’s. Bob retired from the real estate business around 2000, but
continued as a Maple Valley Insurance agent as well as a tax preparer up until the time of his death. He was a
meticulous record keeper and became amazingly tech savvy through the years. Bob was a lifelong learner,
furthering his education at NWTC with continuing ed courses almost annually.

With remarkable attention to detail, Bob was a master woodworker and creator of some very beautiful and
functional items that are real treasures. Bob never sold his pieces; he always gave them away. Although he was
talented enough to sell them, when asked if he would ever want to go into business, he said ‘well then it wouldn’t
be fun anymore’. Bob also took great pride in completing all their home renovations, tending to his flowers and
beautiful lawn over the years.

Bob was a very caring and humble person who was committed to his family. To him, money didn’t buy happiness
and the true importance in life was family and good friends. Bob had a quiet demeanor, was a calming presence
and he thought deeply. If there was a problem, he would find a solution. He could fix almost anything which was
truly comforting.

Bob enjoyed working in his wood shop, hunting, ice fishing, snowmobiling and having a good time back in the day.
More recently, he liked watching gameshows, playing games, doing sudoku puzzles, and occasional trips to the
casino with Nik. He has always loved doing crossword puzzles, watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time
with his family.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years and partner in crime, their four children: Mike (Toni), Katie Flaig
(Dan), Julie Kiser (Scott), and Sue Weyers (Steve); nine grandchildren: Tony Meissner (Amanda), Jamie Ellman
(Rich), Jenn Haffeman (Terry Lee), Matt Rupiper (Katy), Emily Carden (Jeremy), Lauren Loy (Eric), Andrea Kiser,
Cassie and Mason Weyers; and ten great-grandchildren: Bryce, Jakk, Cody, Emma, Lily, Kennedy, Evelyn, Ruby,
Brynlee and Kenlee. He is also survived by his seven siblings: Marilyn Mullen (Chris), Barb Sleeter, Pat Michaels
(Gene), Jim (Linda), Carol Drosner (Dennis), Dick (Kathy), JoAnn Rupiper (Gil Weber) and numerous nieces,
nephews, and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers-in- law Tom Dieck and Dale Sleeter.

Bob did not want a funeral, but a celebration of his life will be held later this summer. His family would like to
thank Unity Hospice for their care and assistance in Bob’s final weeks while he bravely endured the last stage of
laryngeal cancer. Bob is greatly missed.
