Cowboy Bob took his final ride to the pearly gates and was united with his son Daniel (Kelly) and his beloved horse Ko-dah. Robert (Bob) Martin Ryan passed on Monday, February 3rd. He had a great love of the outdoors, whether it be fly fishing, downhill skiing, hunting, camping or riding Ko-dah in the wild west. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 19, 1945 to Marty & Phyllis Ryan. Robert served in the army during the Vietnam Era after which he was honorably discharged and became the local milkman in Elgin Illinois. Robert obtained his CDL and was a local freight driver during his time in Illinois and when he moved to Minnesota with his family. He continued his career in the trucking industry and became a successful sales professional retiring from Wiseway Motor Freight.
The Ryan family was often found together on the slopes of Wild Mountain, or fishing in the lakes of Minnesota, especially Linwood Lake near their home. Their adventures would take them to the mountains of Montana, or the hilltops of Colorado.
Robert is survived by his children Nicole Reynolds, Shawn Ryan (Sarah), Jennifer Jacobson (Jerry) and Michael Ryan (Alicia); grandchildren, David (Whitney), Allison (Chase), Cameron (Miranda), Samantha, Logan, Kelly, Meghan, Hope; and his sisters Pam and Susan.
