Robert Salas

Robert Salas passed away in Sugarland, Texas, on Friday, February 6th, 2026, at the age of 64. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Amelia Salas, and is survived by his wife, Margarita (Flores) Salas; son, Abraham Salas and wife Kelly; grandchild, Zimri Salas; brothers, Paul Salas and Stephen Salas; sisters, Pat De Los Santos, Kathy Ozuna, and Anna Rosas; and a host of many other family and friends.

While Robert had many passions, his wife, Margarita, and their son, Abraham, were his entire world. He loved Margarita with a protective, playful heart and a quick wit that kept their home filled with laughter. He loved Abraham more than life itself, showering him with a devotion that was as fierce as it was tender. Robert's sense of humor was his gift to his family; he lived to make them smile, and to him, being a loving husband and a proud father was his life's most profound joy.

He believed laughter was one of life's greatest gifts and had a sense of humor that could light up any room. Robert was a die-hard Notre Dame football fan and loyal Houston Astros supporter; he rarely missed a game and celebrated every victory. He was deeply rooted in his faith, and lived with a servant's heart, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. As a youth baseball coach and mentor, he became a father figure to many, shaping young lives with patience, and encouragement. Robert was especially beloved by his nieces and nephews, who adored their "fun uncle" and the joy he brought to every family gathering. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert's family will receive guests at a visitation at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland on Thursday, February 19th, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, with a Chaplet of Divine Mercy to be recited at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass for Robert will be held the following day, Friday, February 20th, 2026, at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church in Missouri City, Texas, commencing at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow the Mass at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
