Robert Glenn Sanders was born in Orange County, California on May 29, 1950 the son of the late Arnold and Olive Marie Wood.
On September 4, 2012 he was united in marriage to Gail Briley, who survives.
Robert served his country proudly in the United States Army and was stationed in Vietnam for 10 years. After the military he worked as a mechanic for Bell Salvage in Aims, Iowa. Robert was a member of Nixon Pentecostal Church. In his younger years he loved to go fishing and work on his truck. Robert loved all tools and any new gadget that came he would purchased because he had to have it. In his spare time he enjoyed watching NASCAR, Gunsmoke, and Iowa basketball. Robert was a good man that loved spending time with his wife and kids.
He departed this life on Sunday, February 18, 2024 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 73 years, 8 months, and 20 days.
In addition to his wife Gail of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Jessica Harville (Blake), Joshua Sanders, Alisha Leverne (Jessie), Tracy Bender(Edwin), Shawn Sanders (Laura Kohr), Rachel Bennett, Larry Joe Harville (Carol), David Nicholas Harville (Tonya), and Tina Renee Rickman; grandchildren, Sylus Quinn, Noah Sanders, Damien Sanders, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl Butler (Dan), and Carol Wood; brothers, Mike Sanders (Cindy) and Ed Sanders; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant son, brother, Ralph Sanders; grandson, Brandon Stoster; and nephew, Damon Wood.
