Died: December 14, 2025 in Streator, IL
Robert Dean Sangston, 88 of Streator passed away Sunday (December 14, 2025) at the ARC of Streator.
Bob was born on August 8, 1937, in Streator to Oscar T. and Eleanor M. (Vargochik) Sangston. He married Sandra Klein in 1956. She survives.
Also surviving are daughter, Kim Boyce of Streator, grandchildren, Katie (Joe) Sliker, Anthony (Michelle) Drysdale and Sasha Sangston, great grandchildren Jotie, Dalton and Brody and brother, William Sangston of Florida.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sons, Troy and Anthony.
Bob attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1955. He retired from Owens Illinois Glass and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, served on the Streator Salvation Army Board, Streator Ramp Builders and Boot Kickers and he and Sandy enjoyed spending the winters in Las Vegas.
Memorials may be made to the Streator Salvation Army.
Private family services will be held with burial in St. Stephen's Cemetery. The Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
