Robert Sanocki Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Guinn Family Funeral Homes - Birch Run Chapel on Jan. 11, 2026.
SANOCKI, Robert M. "Bob" – of Birch Run, age 78, died peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Durand Senior Care. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place. A memorial service will be held at 2PM Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 11AM until the time of service at 2PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Respite Volunteers of Shiawasee.
Robert was born on August 15, 1947, to the late Stanislaus and Lucille (Willis) Sanocki. He graduated from Saginaw High School with the class of 1965 and went on to earn his associate degree from Delta College in 1967. On June 5, 1971, Bob married Trudy Flewelling at Holy Family Catholic Church, and together they shared 54 wonderful years. Bob began his career with Saginaw Dodge, where he worked for seven years, before joining General Motors Truck & Bus where he dedicated 30 years of service before retiring in 2005. He was a proud supporter of the Birch Run Athletic Association and generously served his community as a Boy Scout troop leader, having earned the rank of Eagle Scout himself. Bob enjoyed camping, woodworking, traveling, and spending winters in Yuma, Arizona with Trudy. He loved attending car shows where he proudly showcased his pride and joy, a 1956 Chevy he meticulously restored and completed in 1988. Known for his great sense of humor, Bob had a way of weaving euphemisms into everyday conversation. Above all, family meant everything to him. He was incredibly proud of his children and treasured the time he shared with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are: Loving wife, Trudy Sanocki; Son, Michael (Jamie) Sanocki; Daughter, Jennifer (Anthony) Seconsky; Grandchildren: Aiden, Sawyer, Nava, Brendan, Carson, and Beau; Great grandchildren: Colton and Juniper; Siblings: Rosalie (Carl) Gaertner, Barbara (Roger) Sanocki, and Raymond (Carol) Sanocki; Many loving, nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends. The family extends their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to Trudy's cousin, Amy Sprague, whose extraordinary generosity and selfless act of donating a kidney gave Bob the precious gift of life. Through her kindness, Bob was blessed with more than 12 additional years - years he cherished and was able to share with his family.
