Robert "Rob" Michael Schiavone, age 50, passed away on June 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and the warmth of countless friendships that spanned his lifetime. Born on April 25, 1975, in Framingham, Massachusetts, Rob was the cherished son of Jack and the late Paula "PJ" Schiavone. He carried with him the strength, humor, and unmistakable Boston accent of his roots wherever he went.
On June 26, 2005, Rob married the love of his life, Christina Schiavone, in a storybook romance that began with shy conversations through their younger sisters and quickly blossomed into a beautiful life together. Their home was filled with laughter, love, and the joy of raising five daughters: Alex, Phoebe, Justine, Mariah, and Kailee. Rob was also a proud "Nonno" to his granddaughter, Layla, and a caring brother to Julie and Mark.
Rob lived a life of purpose and service. He proudly served in the Navy Reserves from 2002 to 2005 and entered his dream job in law enforcement at the age of 46-a testament to his relentless dedication to protecting and uplifting others. He had been a full-time police officer with Kiefer PD since 2021 and joined GRDA PD part-time in 2024. He was actively pursuing his master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Oklahoma, always pushing himself to grow and make a greater impact. He volunteered with the VAST team through The Demand Project, lending his heart and strength to causes that mattered deeply.
Rob was known everywhere he went-especially at his favorite coffee shop, Homestead, where his order was memorized long before he spoke it. A true social butterfly, he loved conversation, community, and connection. He found joy and balance in traveling, long hours at the gym where he cultivated deep and lasting connections, and playing in both a men's baseball league and ice hockey-where he somehow managed to play offense, defense, and even goalie.
He had a special place in his heart for shopping, especially for sneakers, and proudly drove his dream car, a 2019 GT350R Shelby Mustang. Rob loved horror movies, often bonding with his daughters during scary movie marathons. He had a passion for sharing the things he loved to do with his daughters - softball, shooting guns, and getting tattoos. His sense of humor and generosity shone brightly during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he joked about being a hero for sharing toilet paper and paper towels the family received from his wife's workplace, Kimberly-Clark.
Rob's absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his legacy of compassion, loyalty, laughter, and love lives on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Services have been entrusted to Schaudt Funeral Service. Friends and family are invited to share condolences and words of comfort at www.schaudtfuneralservice.com.
