Robert W. Schoedler

Robert W. Schoedler, 87, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of the late Claire T. (Wolfe) Schoedler. Robert was born in Allentown, a son of the late Frederick G. and Edna M. (Christman) Schoedler. He served as firefighter for the City of Allentown for 30 years before retiring from the Mack Southside Station in 1999.Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the 8th Cavalry – 4th Infantry Division during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the IAFF Firefighters Union and American Legion Brown & Lynch Post #9 of Easton. Robert enjoyed working on cars and attending car shows.
Survivors: Brother, Donald Schoedler of Macungie; stepsons, William Nickisher of Allentown and Robert Nickisher of Breinigsville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 22nd in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown. Friends and family may call from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in the Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. .
