Robert Schramm Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by James Funeral Home on Dec. 14, 2025.
Robert C. Schramm, known to friends and family as "Bob," passed away on December 13, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was 77 years old.

Born on May 27, 1948, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Bob was the son of the late Carl and Rita Schramm. He possessed an entrepreneurial mindset that drove a successful career in the Automotive Industry. Starting with sales, Bob moved into management and executive positions where he was respected for his leadership and vision.

Beyond his professional life, Bob had the special gift of bringing people together. He was a man who was always looking for ways to give back, dedicating time and effort to various fundraising events.

Bob will be best remembered for the joy he brought to those around him. A gentle soul with a resilient spirit, he faced his battle with Parkinson's and Lewy Body dementia with courage. Bob was a lighthearted man and a gifted storyteller who possessed a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to laugh and made it easy for others to laugh with him.

A true enthusiast of life, Bob was an avid golfer and a lover of sports. He also found great joy in listening to Frank Sinatra. Above all, Bob was a family man. He was a devoted husband and a caring father who took immense pride in his children and grandchildren.

Bob shared a beautiful, lifelong love story with his beloved wife, Kathy. Married for 57 years, the two were high school sweethearts, the classic pairing of the football player and the cheerleader. They were truly best friends who built a life filled with fun and mutual support. Through good times and bad, they stood by each other's side, creating a partnership that was nothing short of inspiring. Their devotion was a model of love that many admired and looked up to.

Bob is survived by his three children: his daughter Colleen Fea and her husband Matthew; his daughter Michele LaRocca and her husband Donald; and his son Robert J. Schramm and his wife Rebecca. He was the cherished grandfather to Michael Fea, Mary Beth Fea, Ava Schramm, Addison Schramm, and Brooklyn Schramm. He is also survived by his sisters, Rita D'Amato and her husband Matthew, and Jane Kelly, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathy; his parents, Carl and Rita Schramm; and his sister, Joan Pender.

A service will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church in Mooresville, NC on Monday, December 29th at 11:00 am followed by a repast at On The Nines Bistro.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association (https://LBDA.org) or Rock Steady Boxing (https://rocksteadyboxing.org).

When I think of Bob I have nothing but fond memories. He was everybody´s best friend. If you knew him you know exactly what I mean. He was such a professional and the perfect executive to help Meineke through a tumultuous time by having a very good ear for listening with compassion and empathy. After that time, he was instrumental in bringing all of our franchisees back together and no one could´ve been better at it then he. His sense of humor and smile was contagious. Thinking of his family during this holiday season as I´m sure he and Cathy will both be missed tremendously, but their memories we hold near and dear. God bless the Schram family

I was crushed to hear of Bob´s passing. He was a staple of our Rock Steady Boxing team, always smiling, happy and enjoying his time with us. The world was a better place with Bob in it. I´ll so miss our time together, but knowing Bob is with his beloved wife makes it a bit easier to manage. My heart goes out to all his family and friends during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear about Bob. Bob always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. Bob would always come in and me if he won any money. I will miss Bob.

I adored Bob- I always loved his smiles at Rock Steady Boxing. No matter his battle of the day, - he always was smiling and ready for a laugh or two. Many prayers to the family. You guys were amazing caregivers. Hugs and prayers.

The world lost a really good guy. Bob and Kathy were our lifelong friends..meeting and living in the same apartment complex in Whitehall, Pa in 1970. We had and shared so many wonderful times together during those 55 years of friendship and love. We will miss that sense of humor, laughter and friendship. God speed Bob..you're now with Kathy..
