Robert J. "Chuck" Sechio, 80, of Fairmont Street, West Warwick, passed away with his loving family by his side on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Donna A. (LeMay) Sechio.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Florie J. and Elsa (Aceto) Sechio.
Chuck was a man who loved life, family, and the people around him. A great father, he was incredibly proud of his children and absolutely adored his grandchildren. Time spent with family was his favorite, whether it was traveling together, heading out on a spontaneous road trip with his wife Donna, or making a simple stop for ice cream-something he never passed up.
Chuck grew up along the Woonasquatucket River, where he spent many days playing hockey as a kid. He loved his siblings and cousins deeply and stayed close to them throughout his life. He was very involved with Little League baseball and the Boy Scouts, where he gave his time generously and enjoyed raising his three boys. He also loved golf and spent many happy years going on golf trips with close friends, sharing laughs, stories, and plenty of memories along the way. A true New England sports fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on the Bruins, Patriots, and Red Sox. And while he might not have admitted it, those who knew him well knew he had a sweet spot for desserts.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Robert Sechio Jr. and his wife Gretchen of Cranston, John Sechio and his wife Martha of West Warwick and Stephen Sechio and his wife Karen of Warwick; A brother, Florie M. "Mickey" Sechio (Bernice) of Smithfield; 8 grandchildren, Sidney Sechio, Gabrielle Hasa (Ervis), Cameron Sechio (Bianca), Hailee Sechio, Hannah Sechio, Caroline Sechio, Ian Sechio and Hudson Sechio; 1 great-grandson, Oliver Stone Sechio and his beloved cat "Tito". He was the brother of the late Dorothy Poirier (Richard Joly) and Gilbert Sechio (Carol).
