Leon E. Couturier Jr.

Leon E. Couturier, Jr., 63, of Sharpe Street, West Greenwich, passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Cathleen A. McCauley.

Born in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of Elaine (Raymond) Leach of Foster, RI, and the late Leon Couturier, Sr. of Newburgh, NY.

Leon was a graduate of Smithfield High School Class of 1980. He worked for the City of Attleboro Parks and Recreation for over 20 years and was the owner of Liberty Remodeling, LLC and was a master tile setter & craftsman for over 20 years. Leon also worked for the Smithfield Fire Department and Dave's Towing in Smithfield, RI.

Leon was a good man, a friend to everyone he met. Someone you could count on if you needed anything. As a remodeler, he worked on a client's home as if it were his own. Leon understood how his work affected the everyday life of his customers. He was a kind, honest, funny & extraordinarily talented man who will be greatly missed."

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Lionel R. Couturier of Scituate, Ryan S. Desrosiers of Coventry, Leon E. Couturier III of Maine, Nicole R. Couturier of North Smithfield and Stephanie R. Couturier of North Providence and one grandchild. He was the brother of the late Lionel R. Couturier.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leon's name to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI, 02907 would be appreciated.
