Norman R. Thibault

Norman R. Thibault, 80, formerly of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Lakeside Nursing Home in North Kingstown. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Adeoda R. and Gisele (Chabot) Thibault.

Norman took great pride in his career building submarines for the U.S. Navy at Electric Boat, Quonset Division. He was also a beloved member of the staff at Quidnessett Country Club, where he was known as a true "jack of all trades" and a friend to many. He was a member of St. John's Lodge No. 1 Providence, F & AM for over 35 years. He was Past Patron of Adah Chapter No. 15, Order of the Eastern Star. Norman enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his family, and researching his family history. He was always ready to lend a helping hand - if you needed a ride, Norman was there.

He is survived by his loving children, Faith Thibault of North Kingstown and Dennis Thibault and his wife, Cassey, of North Carolina; his brothers, Lawrence Thibault of Warwick, RI, and Ernest Thibault of Marshville, NC; three grandchildren, Davis Thibault, Matthew Thibault, and Amber Thibault; and one great-grandchild, Zachariah Thibault. He was the father of the late Daniel E. Thibault and Tammy G. Thibault, and the brother of the late Maurice Thibault, Pauline Cardi, Adrianne Marcinko, Marie Jean Bass, Roger Thibault, Denis Thibault, Phillip Henry Thibault, Marie Irene Parker, and George Thibault.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, followed by a Funeral and Masonic Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
