Eugene R. Thibault

Eugene passed away in West Hartford, CT, on February 3rd after a brief illness. He was born January 20, 1935, in Leominster, MA, the son of Eugene R. and Dorothy (Gloriante) Thibault. He graduated from Springfield High School, Springfield, VT in 1952.

Gene was a registered architectural engineer and his career was in the interior contract building business. As vice-president at ACMAT, he was responsible for planning and renovating commercial buildings. He then started Thibault/NICO specializing in single source design/build interiors. Expanding further, he formed the Thibault Group, in Hartford CT, a commercial interior construction company that operated throughout New England.

He enjoyed playing the piano/organ, playing and watching tennis, and boating on the Connecticut River. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Linda Brown, brother, Louis (Sharon Baraby), and sisters Dorothy (Leroy Underwood) and Marjorie (Charles Merlini) and two nieces. He is survived by his sister, Rosanne (Hugh Putnam), two nieces and a nephew and his good friend, Rosalie Zimmermann.

A private burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery in Springfield, VT.
