Robert Edward Shaffer

Robert E. Shaffer, 63, of Benton Harbor, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2024 at his home. 

 

A graveside service to honor Rob's life will be held 10 AM, February 23, 2024 at Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com 

 

Rob was born on December 9, 1960, in St. Joseph, the son of the late William and Louise (Gast) Shaffer. Rob was a man of God and found solace in his faith. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Stevensville, where he found strength and comfort. Rob graduated from Lakeshore High School and went on to have a successful career at Corewell Heath South, St. Joseph where he dedicated 30 plus years of service before retiring in 2022. Rob will be remembered for his unwavering faith, dedication to his career, and the love he had for his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

 

Rob is survived by his sister: Karen Allerton; his nephew and niece: Jon and Katie Allerton of Phoenix, Arizona and a cousin: Carol (Gast) Farrand of Texas. He was also a beloved great uncle to Sophie and Oliver.
