Joyce E. Shaffer

Joyce E. Shaffer, age 83 of Alger, formerly of Kimball Twp., passed away on March 8, 2026. She was born October 19, 1942, in Port Huron to the late Virgil and Mary Stone.

Joyce enjoyed camping, garage sales and flea markets. Later in life, she enjoyed sitting on the deck waving at the boats on the lake, but most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joyce served the community of Kimball Township for over 28 years. She served on the Fire Administration Board, as well as the deputy clerk and township clerk for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence, son, Randy (Deb), granddaughter, Sarah (Steve) Crawford, grandson, Steve (Lindsey) Shaffer, seven great grandchildren, brother, Glen (Karen) Stone, many nieces, nephews and her beloved dog, Rusty.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Sherry and Son, Edward, brother and sister-in-law, Wendell (Jeanette) Stone

A Celebration of Life will take place on April 19, 2026, at The Family Barn, 2960 Eckles Rd. Goodells, Michigan 48027, from 12:00pm -4:00pm
