Kevin Eugene Shaffer

Kevin Eugene Shaffer, age 57, of Ellwood City, passed away unexpectedly at home.

Born August 20, 1968 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Vernon Shaffer and is survived by his mother, Diana Hilty Shaffer.

He was the beloved husband of Delana Lunsford Shaffer and they were together for 22 years. He was the loving father of Sarah (Tony) Ricca and the late Elijah Lunsford, and loving Pap Pap of Avery and Oliver. Kevin was the brother of Chad (Toni Anne) Shaffer, Steven (Stephanie) Shaffer, and Corey (Candy) Shaffer, and son-in-law of Karen and Gary Bauman. He is also survived by his uncle Gary (Joanne) Hilty. He will be dearly remembered by his "brothers from other mothers", Joey Vergona, Gary Gavin, Jeff Alvin, Tom Hobel, Adam Biancucci, and Barry Sheets, as well as his beer distributor, Brian and Tracy, who called him their "VIP". Kevin will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Kevin proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, Active Duty Reserves, for over 28 years, and was employed in Public Safety with the Department of Defense for over 38 years. He was stationed at the 911th Airlift Wing in Coraopolis.

In his free time Kevin enjoyed Golf and Bourbon, but above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, Avery & Oliver.

Friends will be received for visitation on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 10 A.M. until the time of a funeral service at 12 P.M. at Boylan Funeral Homes, Inc., 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063, with Rev. Andrew Shaffer, officiating.

Kevin will be laid to rest with full military honors at English Lutheran Cemetery in Zelienople.
