Bob Shamblin passed away on March 15, 2026. Over the years, his body was failing but never his mind. Bob was 84, just shy of his 85th birthday that May 6,1941 bears in Charleston, WV. In high school, he excelled in basketball, football, and baseball and was offered multiple scholarships and even had the opportunity to go pro. Instead, he joined the Air Force, where he proudly served for 4 years. While stationed at Bur drop in Wiltshire, he met the love of his life, Carole. They moved to Florida and Bob became a contractor, and he continued that career for more than 50 years.
He was a proud man but humble man. He was a member of Dover First Baptist Church. He did more for others than he ever did for himself. There is void left for those he leaves behind that can never be filled.
Bob was preceded in death by parents, Willam and Rebecca Shamblin, as well as siblings Billy Shamblin, Arnold Shamblin, Betty Richardson, Raymond Shamblin, Marzetta Evans, and Wanda Shamblin.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carole Shamblin along with his two children Rob Shamblin, and Stephanie Higgins (Barrett). Bob is survived by his grandchildren: Olivia Oest(Trey), Victoria Anderson (Christian), Lily Foley, Celia Puleo (Trent), Amelia Saunders (Shane), and Levi Shamblin. Along with 5 great-grandchildren: Easton, Stetson, Grace, Beatrice, and Theo. Bob is also survived by siblings Emma Jean Dewolf, Ken Shamblin, Dallas Shamblin, and Harry Shamblin. Bobwill be remembered as a loving man. He was at his happiest when he was with his family.
