Mr. Robert "Bobby" Lee Shifflett Sr., 84, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Bobby was born Sept. 18, 1937, in Baltimore, Md., to the late George Thurston Shifflett and Ruth Reid Shifflett. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Ann Shifflett; and brother, George Shifflett.
Bobby was a self-employed truck driver most of his life and took great pride in his job. He was always working on his truck making sure it was ready for the next haul. Bobby enjoyed spending time with family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite pastime was going camping and traveling with his wife, Bernice.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Shifflett; sons, Robert L. Shifflett, Jr, John B. Shifflett; sister, Doris Smith; brother, David Shifflett; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
