Robert (Bob) L. Showman, 76, of Narrows Road, Connellsville, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024 at his home. He was born on April 26, 1948, in Connellsville, a son of the late Jesse Boisky and Edward W. and Eva C. Hess Showman. Bob was a graduate of Connellsville High School, and soon thereafter, he enlisted and honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, Bob worked in sales and construction. Prior to his retirement, he became a CDL truck driver. Bob enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, gardening, and dabbled in photography.
He was a proud father and is survived by his 3 children: Tonia (Sean) Thomas of New York, Robert L. Showman Jr. (Nicole) of Arizona, and Vanessa (Ashton) Kosar of Texas. Additionally, he is survived by 8 grandchildren: Kayla, Sean, Lex, Sydney, Jon, Nathaniel, Anna and Violet, as well as 3 great grandchildren: Daniel, Oliver and Auggie. Bob is also survived by five brothers and sisters: Jean (and the late Don) Kuhns, Peggy (Mark) Wilson, Linda (P.J.) Carte, Mary (Bret) Holt, and Arthur (Tracy) Showman, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4pm Sunday, December 1, 2024 at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, Inc 730 W. MAIN STREET MT. PLEASANT with service immediately following, at 4 p.m. with Reverend Morgan Kelly officiating. Please visit Robert’s online memorial at rega.slaterfuneral.com to sign the condolence guestbook.
