Robert L. Shula

1940 - 2026

Robert L. Shula, 86, of Penn Township, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026. Bob was born in Greensburg on Jan. 1, 1940, to the late Louis and Catherine (Mance) Shula. Upon the early passing of his mother, Bob and his dear sister, Kay were raised by their aunt, Mary, and John Supancik. Robert is survived by his devoted son, Jeffrey, and wife, Sandra; grandchildren, Carla and Reid Stewart, Ethan and Katelyn Shula, Nolan and Madison Shula, and Aaron Shula; great-grandchildren, Lochlan, Lydia, Emelia, and Schenley; his beloved sister, Catherine (Kay); Glenn Battistella; nephews, Glenn (Debbie), Gary (Diane), and Dr. Gene (Michelle) Battistella; niece, Brenda (Michael) Koreen; and great-nephews, Anthony, Bradley (Megan), Michael, and Dominic. He was preceded in death by his parents, aunt and uncle, most cherished wife Carol; and grandson, Ryan. Bob's legacy was his God-given ability to impact individual lives. He was well known in the surrounding communities as a custom home builder who cared about his customers, not just their homes. Through his involvement as an establishing elder of the Christian Fellowship Center church, he and Carol blessed and mentored many people in their Christian faith by opening their hearts and home. He was a loving, supportive brother, husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. His family and friends will miss his keen wit, humor, and kindness. We want to thank Shannon, Rochelle, Lettie, Adele, Johanna, Erica, Lance, and Bridges Hospice. Without their dedication and care, it would have been impossible for Bob to remain living at home. We are very grateful. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at New Life Presbyterian Church in Harrison City. Please go directly to the church.
