Robert (Robb) J. Silva, - Brookline
Robb passed away on February 10, 2025 at the age of 63 after a year long struggle with Lymphoma. He was born in Concord Mass to Robert J Silva Sr. and Nancy (Pittorino) Silva on October 2,1961.
He graduated from Acton/Boxborough high school in 1979; where he was very active in the theater and drama club. In 1984 he graduated from Boston University with a degree in Economics. Robb thoroughly enjoyed his college years and remained strongly connected to his Alma Mater. Later he would return as Assistant Coach of the Boston University Tennis Team along with his good friend Jeremy Taylor.
Robb was an extraordinary Tennis Player and maintained a real passion for the sport throughout his life; he was division one tennis player for Boston University and after graduating he played in various Greater Boston Leagues. He enjoyed a professional career as a Tennis Pro at Colonial Tennis Club and Longfellow Tennis Club. Most recently Robb was a member of Longwood Cricket Club of Brookline, In addition he was also member of The Badminton and Tennis Club of Boston.
Robb was passionate about Natural Stone, and would later join Gerrity Stone as a top sales representative. He became known over time as the "Rock Star." Robb always said selling something you love is not a job. While at Gerrity Stone, he made many life long friends, including one of his best friends Melissa Gerrity, who held a special place in his heart.
Robb's career later found it's way into the world of Real Estate, and once again, he soared into delivering top numbers for the William Raveis Agency where again he enjoyed many great relationships with co-workers and clients who went on to become lifelong friends through the years.
At the center of Robb's life were his friends and family. In the 2000's Robb assisted his friend Emily parent her two children Jill and Maddie. In their words "he was their Dad and they were his girls." He transported them to soccer games, horseback riding & piano lessons, you name it he did it. They were the joy of his life.
He was also part of a huge Italian Family who loved and supported him.He was the comic relief at every gathering. He was an exquisite piano player an amazing dancer and an overall incredible entertainer.
Robb leaves his Mom Nancy, and his devoted brother Craig, and many loyal Aunt's, Uncles, and cousins.
A special thank you to Bonnie, Mary, Craig, Charlene, Emily, Annie, Melissa, Brandon, special nurse Briget Sammon who supported Robb on his challenging journey.
A Celebration of Robb's life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, February 22nd at Wedgewood Pines Country Club, 215 Harvard Road, Stow, MA.
