Robert Carroll Simpson

PINEY FLATS - Robert Carroll Simpson, age 71, of Piney Flats, TN passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son of the late Jasper Junior Simpson.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Wikowsky.

Robert was a very caring person and good man. He loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed playing on his cell phone, going to the movies with his family, watching football, NASCAR and listening to country music.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda Simpson, of the home; daughter, Melissa Long (Jason), of Piney Flats; three grandchildren, Brianna Baker (Patrick), Jamie Long and Mackenzie Long, all of Piney Flats; mother, Marie Simpson, of Piney Flats; sister, Joyce Campbell (Gene), of Bluff City; two brothers, Paul Simpson (Judy) and James Simpson, both of Piney Flats and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 22,2023 in the Bluff City Chapel, Bluff City, TN.

The graveside service and interment will follow the visitation in the New Bethel Church Cemetery, Piney Flats, TN with Pastor Bryan Orchard officiating. Pallbearers are Jason Long, Patrick Baker, Silas Shaffer, Lee Odom, Kelvin Jeter and Bradley Bowers. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Bowers, Paul Shaffer and James Simpson.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all Robert's doctors and nurses especially Amanda Vanlandingham and Sherry with Pulmonary Associates.
