Robert Sjoboen Obituary

Anacortes - Robert Vern Sjoboen passed away on May 30, 2025, in Anacortes, Washington.

He was born in Aberdeen, Washington, on February 19, 1936. His family moved to Concrete in the early 1940s. He met his future wife, Marion Shelver, in the 7th grade. They married in 1957. Bob was a middle school math and science teacher and later the Elementary School Principal in Concrete.

He was also very involved in the community as Mayor and Lions' Club member. He was an active member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.

Bob and Marion moved to Anacortes in 2008 to be closer to their children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren:

Anita & Dana McCoy; Nicholas & Mai McCoy. Leah & Jeff Wagner; Riverlyn, Kaladin and Eliora.

Paula Fors; Carin & Brad Moritz; Brock and Emmett. Kirsten & Victor Smith; Harold.

Lauren & Angela Sjoboen; Siri and Anders.

Marial & Shawn Dickson; Christopher, Kelsey and Kari.

Marion passed in 2016 after almost 60 years of marriage. Bob lived with Anita & Dana for the last two years. During this time, his primary concern and question was, "Where is Marion?" The answer was always, "in Heaven". We know that they are now together in Heaven.

There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 2pm at the Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete.
