Robert V. Sklar, 52, passed away February 24, 2025. He was born March 22, 1972 in Brooklyn, NY. Rob was currently living in his dream city, St. Augustine, FL.
Rob proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, U.S. Marines, and U.S. Navy for close to 25 years. Rob had an amazing military career, even being active in Samalia during Black Hawk Down. Rob served for several years in the Army Reserves, as well, while studying to become a Physician. Rob graduated medical school in 2008 and has been a Physician at several Naval Hospitals. Rob was currently Senior Medical Officer of the Emergency Department at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Rob was highly dedicated to ensuring all sailors and enlisted personnel were well taken care of. Rob loved to mentor his ER team, provide training, and share his wealth of knowledge with fellow professionals. Rob loved to explore downtown St. Augustine, travel, take care of his fish, and play with his cats. What Rob loved more than anything was to be goofy (especially when taking selfies) and spending time with his best friend and wife, Carol.
Rob is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Carol; Son, Andy; Parents, Steven and Mina; Sister, Noemi; and Uncle, Vinny.
