Robert N. Smith

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert N. Smith "Bob" on May 8, 2025, age 67, of Citrus County. Bob was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather "B.Bob".

Leaving behind a legend legacy of love, respect, honor, and integrity. He was known for his teaching and leadership skills, guidance, and "Your word means everything". He always wanted to be an officer since he was a child. He did fulfill that dream at the Osceola County Sheriff's Office where he worked from 1977 to 2016, 39 years of service. He was assigned to numerous positions; Motor Unit, Traffic Unit, Patrol Unit, Investigation Unit, NET Unit, SNAG Unit, and received employee of the month in 1994. He was honored many times by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Survived by his wife, Cathy L. Smith; son, Sidney Marshall Smith; grandchildren, Ivy Marie Smith, Blake Marshall Smith, and Stormy Marie Smith; and his sister, Patsy Best.

Predeceased family members include his mother, Georgia Smith; father, Jarmin, Smith; brother, Jay Smith; and sister, Carolyn West. Service information, a Celebration of Life for Robert N. Smith "Bob" on Friday,

May 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Kissimmee Chapel at 1700 John Young Parkway, Kissimmee, FL. Immediately following will be a reception at the church, we do ask that if possible, bring a covered dish or dessert. Barbecue will be provided. The family would like to thank all family and friends that have reached out during this difficult time. Flowers can be sent to the First Baptist Church of Kissimmee by Thursday, May 15, 2025. In lieu of flowers you can send in his honor to Tunnel of Towers or Wounded Warriors Fund.
