Robert H. “Bob” Snow, 92, of Upton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford, on Monday, December 23, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Gail (Wright) Snow, who died in 2020.
Born in Pittsford, VT, he was a son of the late Phillip and Emily (Johnson) Snow, and was raised and educated in Pittsford, VT. He was a graduate of (Pittsford High School) and went on to earn his bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering at Carnegie Institute of Technology located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Mr. Snow proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict earning the ranking of SP3.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Snow was employed as an electrical engineer for New England Electric.
Bob served on the Upton Conservation Committee and Sewer Commission. Over the years he had also donated conservation land to the Town of Upton and donated to the Upton Bloomer Girls for various occasions.
He enjoyed wood working, bicycling, cross country skiing, winter activities, visiting his family in Vermont, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his two sons, Justin Snow and his wife Diane Snow of Upton, and Lincoln Snow and his wife Diane Lentz Snow of Upton; four grandchildren, Kyle Snow and his wife Danielle of Upton, Carson Snow and his wife Zoie of Worcester, Parker Snow and his partner Mavs Burke of South Carolina, and Jacob Snow of Upton; a great-grandchild, Nathan Snow of Upton; his siblings, Russell Snow and his wife Elaine of Waterbury, VT, and Karen Nasser of Easley, South Carolina, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Robert is predeceased by his wife Gail and their son Nathan Snow.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Friday, January 10, 2025, in the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton.
With the uprise in covid and the flu, Bob’s family kindly encourages those not feeling well to not attend and to say a prayer at home for Bob and his family instead.
His funeral service and burial with military honors in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton, will take place privately with his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to the Upton Bloomer Girls, P.O. Box 121, Upton, MA 01568.
