March 28, 2024, age 78 years. Beloved husband of Susan (formerly Salani) Soerens (nee Sjobeck) and the late Cynthia Soerens (nee Eske). Proud father of Kristy (Jack) Harder, Jennifer (Michael) Vojvodich, Robert D. (Stephanie) Soerens, Stephanie (Keith) Borkowski, and Christopher (Carina) Salani. Cherished grandpa of Maria (Joshua), Juliana (Reagan) Lili, Kyra, Maddy, Annika, Hudson, Kaylee, Cynthia, and Aspen. Dear younger brother of Karen (Dave) Zuege. Further survived by Mary Lou Street (mother of Kristy, Jennifer and Robert), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Robert "Bud Weak Eyes" and Marian Soerens.
Visitation Wednesday, April 3 at Harder Funeral Home from 10 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bob Soerens Memorial Fund, which was established for future charitable givings. Checks can be made out to the fund and sent to Soerens Ford, 18900 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI 53045.
Bob "Nice Guy" was the owner of Soerens Ford, Brookfield. Bob was an avid golfer, traveler, and a member of Westmoor Country Club.

Bob truly was a nice guy.

I worked as a technician at Soerens from 1999-2008 starting as an entry-level apprentice at 20 years old.

I remember Bob had a great reputation amongst the senior guys out in the shop. Even the battle-tested cynical guys spoke very highly of him and it was clear that he had earned their respect over time by being a good guy - definitely not the flashy "I'm the boss"-type that could be expected given his status/financial position.

During my first couple of weeks, he made it a point to come out and introduce himself to me as "Bob". That obviously left an impression as I was a nobody and he was a bit of a celeb at the time with his nice-guy commercials.

Soerens was a wonderful place to work with good people and a great culture - before that became a buzz-word/term. Cleary Bob hired folks like himself and earned the respect of his people and his loyal customers. I'd probably still be there had I not switched careers entirely.

My thoughts are with Stephanie and his entire family.
