ROBERT MICHAEL STEPHENS
AUGUST 20, 1958 – AUGUST 16, 2022

Robert (Big Bob) Stephens passed away in his home on August 16, 2022, from cardiac arrest. Bob was born August 20, 1958, in St. Petersburg, Florida to Darryl and MaryLou Stephens, moving with his family to the Portland/Beaverton area in 1963, where he grew up enjoying Boy Scouts and family activities such as camping and trips to the beach. During high school Bob was on the wrestling team at Sunset High School, where he graduated in 1976.

Bob was married to Carrie Tripp from 1979 – 2002. A great joy in his life, daughter Christina, was born in 1985. Another great joy he was looking forward to, becoming a grandpa to a little granddaughter due to be born in early October.

Bob was a warm, open, accepting person with amazing woodworking and creative skills. He enjoyed tinkering with his motorcycle and car, listening to music, Bigfoot and UFO stories. He spent the majority of his working years at Tosoh Quartz (formerly Weiss Scientific Glass Blowing) as a glassblower and supervisor.

Bob is survived by his mother Marylou, daughter Christina (Clint) Davis, brothers Rod (Rhonda), Earl (Denise) and Todd (Kathy), numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob's warm personality, sense of humor and presence here on Earth will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Remembrances can be made to your favorite charity.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Leedy Grange Hall, 835 NW Saltzman Rd., Portland, OR 97229
