Robert Stevens Obituary
Robert Dale Stevens, age 79, of Buffalo and formerly of Rockford passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
He was born on December 28, 1946 in St. James, Minnesota the son of Paul V. & Esther J. (Oeltjenbruns) Stevens.
He honorably served his Country in The United States Navy.
On November 22, 1969, Robert Stevens was joined in holy marriage to Bonita P. "Bonnie" Schmidt. God blessed their marriage with three sons.
Bob and Bonnie enjoyed traveling especially to California beaches and took several cruises. She preceded Robert in death on November 24, 2021.
Mr. Stevens was employed for many years as a Programmer/Analysis for Sun Seeds.
He enjoyed Minnesota sports, especially watching the Twins and Vikings.
Survived by his loving sons: Edward (Annette) Stevens of Big Lake, Christopher Stevens of Brooklyn Center and Chad Stevens of Buffalo; five grandchildren: Tasha (Ben) Dunn-Myers, Danielle Dunn, Sid Wright, Dawson Enebak and Alexandra Enebak; four great grandchildren: Henry, Corbin, Esben and Zenon; a sister: Joan Paulson; three sisters-in-law: Dianna Stevens, Jolene Christenson and Delores Stevens and by a brother-in-law: Ryan Tysdal; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his beloved wife, Robert was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Dede Stevens, by his parents, four brothers Douglas, Bruce, Duane and Leslie, by a brothers-in-law Dean Paulson & Robert Schmidt and by a sister-in-law Julie Tysdal.
A Memorial service for Robert Stevens will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 27 one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Interment with military rites will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Buffalo.
