Robert S. Stewart II

Robert S. Stewart II, born on August 7, 1946, passed peacefully through the gates of eternity due to natural causes with his children by his side on Monday, July 21, 2025, at his residence in Doylestown.

Robert was the only son of the late Robert S. Stewart and Carrie I. Stewart (Frey) of Lehighton.

He is survived by his five children, Chad (Stacey) Stewart of Lake Havasu, AZ, Ryan (MaLinda) Ross of Oxford, AL, Dan (Hillary) Stewart of Pipersville, Kristin Stewart of Doylestown and Janson Stewart of Wyncote; and six grandchildren, Brendan, Kayla, Tyler, Hunter, Montana and River.

A graduate of Neshaminy High School and West Virginia University, Bob was an accomplished gymnast who later served in the U.S. Navy before spending time as a private pilot, construction worker and a truck driver.

A simple man who loved old western movies, the Phillies and the Eagles, Bob found his greatest joys in keeping tabs on the lives of his children and grandchildren.

Service: A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Thursday, Aug. 7, at noon from St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, 826 Mahoning Drive West, Lehighton. Visiting hours will be held from 11 a.m.-noon Thursday in the church. Following the service, the family will gather at Mahoning Valley Ambulance Assn., 902 Mill Road, Lehighton, for lunch and a few trips down memory lane with our beloved Bob. Interment with military honors will take place in the St. John Mahoning Church Cemetery, Lehighton. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold.
