Robert Charles Stiffey, a cherished husband, devoted uncle, and friend, was born on October 14, 1946, in Indiana, Pennsylvania. He peacefully transitioned to his eternal home on March 18, 2026, surrounded by the love he shared so freely during his lifetime.
Bob married the love of his life, Dawna Baker, in 1970, and together, they created a beautiful life in Ohio, residing in both Loveland and Milford. Although they did not have children, Bob brought immense joy and love to the lives of his four nephews and six nieces, who cherished their uncle and took pride in the adults they have become.
Bob was a dedicated worker at International Paper, working in Springdale and Mason until his retirement in 2006. A gentle spirit, he was known for his warm smile and infectious sense of humor that could light up any room. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Edna Belle (McAfoos) Stiffey, and three brothers: Merle Henry, Lee Henry, and Thomas Stiffey.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Dawna Stiffey; his sister-in-law's, Nancy Henry, Debra Ward, and Cathy Garrison; and brother-in-law, Duane Henson. Bob's love for his family was evident, and he shared a special bond with each of them.
A true animal lover, Bob was a proud doggie daddy to four furry companions. He found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life-watching the birds gather in his yard, tending to his garden, and planting flowers at Dawna's request. Although he had a passion for NASCAR racing, it was at home with his wife where he felt most content, surrounded by nature's beauty.
Bob's kindness extended outwardly as he made friends easily and was always someone you could approach for a conversation. His gentle spirit and warmth will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In honor of Bob's memory, a visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on Monday, March 23rd at 1 PM until the beginning of the funeral service at 2 PM. The burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bob's name to any animal shelter of your choice or to Matthew 25 Ministries, reflecting his compassion for all living beings.
As we remember Robert C. Stiffey, let us celebrate his life-a life lived with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for nature and family. He touched many hearts and will be fondly remembered by all.
