Robert Earl Stone, age 80, of Waco peacefully passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 16th at Rosemound Cemetery with Pastor David Cozart officiating. There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 15th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.

Robert was born July 28, 1944 to A.J. and Eva Pearl (Graham) Stone in Marlin, Texas. He married Sallie Mae McCollaum on Christmas Eve in 1962. They had many wonderful years of marriage until her passing on October 7, 2009. Robert spent his life as a Dairy Farmer, but after retiring from farming, he worked for about 10 years at Automatic Chef. Robert’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Joann Stone; and eight siblings.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Barbara De La Rosa and husband David; grandchildren, Kevin B. Payne and wife Tara, Michael B. Payne and wife Amber, Christina Martinez, Brandi Stone; great-grandchildren, Addyson, Addilynn, Annzley, Rosie, Ruby, Eric, Josiah, Kaitlyn, Elizabeth, Alex, Kinsley and Sophia; along with his sister-in-law, Mary Stone; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Payne, Michael Payne, Gary Stone, and David De La Rosa.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Providence Hospice for their kindness and compassion, especially Robert’s nurses, Kaylee, Chelsea, and Michelle.
