Robert Joseph "Bob" Strickley

It's with the greatest of sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Joseph Strickley Sr. He died peacefully in his home on the morning of Nov. 25. He is survived by his wife Jennifer (Hildebrandt) Strickley, and his children: Sarah Strickley (and her husband Ian Stansel), Vanessa Phelan (and her husband Patrick), Robert Strickley Jr. (and his fiancée Keava McLoughlin), and John David Strickley (and his wife Olivia (Hoelker) Strickley). He had 4 grandchildren; another is due in January. Bob was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Anderson Township. Born to Anna K. and John Strickley on Jan. 11, 1952, he was 1 of 8 children and grew up in Newport, Ky. He attended Corpus Christi Elementary School, Newport Catholic High School, completed his B.S. at Northern Kentucky University and worked for 45 years at Cincinnati Milacron as Vice President of Sales. During his tenure at Milacron, he earned membership in the Society of Plastics Engineers, a certificate in Advanced Studies in Industrial Distribution at Texan A&M and graduated from an Executive Business Program at Penn State. After he retired in 2018, he spent time traveling the world, enjoying the company of his family and researching family history on Ancestry.com. He was a committed husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, Fort Thomas, Ky. Memorials are suggested to the St. Bernard Food Pantry, 401 Berry St. Dayton, Ky. 41074.
