Robert Richard Sullivan

On April 24, 2024, the world lost a beloved soul with the passing of Robert "Nipper" Richard Sullivan in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born on January 31, 1959, then resided in Southampton until he moved to Bensalem where he called home until his final moments. Bob/Rob  touched the lives of many with his kindness, sense of humor, gift to gab and unwavering love for his family.

Bob/Rob led a fulfilling life as a sprinkler fitter for the Sprinkler Fitters' Union Local 692, where his dedication and craftsmanship left a lasting impact on those around him. His commitment to his work was only matched by his passion for supporting his grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply. He was their biggest fan on the sidelines of their games, swim meets cheering them on with pride and joy.

Bob was an alumnus of Cardinal Dougherty High School's class of 1977.
His friendly nature and quick wit made him a joy to be around, always ready to engage in conversation and share a laugh. His love for Nascar and premier league soccer, especially as an avid Liverpool fan, brought him immense happiness throughout his life.

Surrounded by his loving family, Bob/Rob’s unexpected departure leaves a void that cannot be filled. He is survived by his loving companion Karen DuBeck Hickey; son Shane (Karen); daughters Kelly (Mike) and Shannon (Dan); and cherished grandchildren Micki, Megan, Connor, Kara, Ryan, Luci, Quinn, Kaitlin, and Dean. In addition to his immediate family, Bob(Rob)leaves behind brothers John Sullivan (Eileen) and Brian (Billie) Sullivan and many nieces,nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather to remember Bob/Rob on Sunday, May 5, 2024 beginning at 5pm at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox St., Phila., PA 19137 (Parking on premises). Religious services will begin at 6:45. Interment will be private

Bob/Rob,”Nipper" Sullivan will forever be remembered for his warmth, humor, and love that he shared unconditionally with all who knew him. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his presence.

Rest in peace, dear Bob/Rob you will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
