Robert "Robby" Glen Sumners, 56, of Muenster, Texas, passed away on June 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on May 14, 1969, Robby brought warmth, humor, and a strong sense of loyalty to everyone who knew him. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished son, and a proud grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife Betty Sumners; his mother Natalie Sumners and Kenny Jaecks; his father Jerry Sumners and wife Denise; his brothers Jody Sumners, Jeremy Sumners (wife Justice) and his sister Chelsea Sims (husband Jacob); his uncle Ronny Sumners (wife Louise), his aunt Debbie Thigpen (husband Donnie), and Dianne Martin (husband Frank).
Robby was the proud father of Morgan Dahl, Robert Sumners Jr. (RJ), and stepdaughter Crystal French. He was also a devoted grandfather to Adriana Musters, Stephen Allums, and Cassen Barkowsky, who brought immense joy to his life. As well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Robby was known for his larger-than-life personality and his ability to light up any room. He had a deep passion for trucking and formed many lasting friendships throughout his years on the road. Above all, he cherished his time at home with his wife, Betty, who was the love and light of his life.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in the chapel at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas. Interment will follow at Wingate Cemetery in Wingate, Texas.
Robby's memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and generous spirit. He lived loud, loved hard, and made life a little brighter for everyone who crossed his path. He will be missed more than words can say.
