Robert F. "Stewy" Sweeney

Robert F. Sweeney of Rockland, known as "Bobby" and "Stewy Roberts" by family and friends, passed away on January 28th after a period of declining health. Bobby was born in Boston on October 29th, 1961 and grew up in Holbrook graduating from Holbrook High School with the Class of 1979. He was the son of the late Dennis and Eleanor Sweeney and loving brother to Donna Quinn of Salem, Dennis Sweeney of Canton and the late John Sweeney. Also survived by his sister in law Brenda Sweeney; his nephew Patrick Sweeney and nieces Kerri Sweeney, Kathryn Quinn Soley and Kelly Quinn and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Bobby also leaves behind Abigail his "adopted" yellow lab who brought him much comfort and joy sharing walks and their mutual love of ice cream.
Bobby most recently bartended at several local establishments. He was especially proud of his Irish heritage and loved his Boston sports teams. His quick smile and heartl laugh will not be easily forgotten. Bobby will be missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

The Sweeney family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Bobby's life on Wednesday February 15, 2023 from 3:00-5:00 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home.
