Newcomer Funeral Home - AkronRobert T. "Rob" Clark, Jr., a loving husband, devoted son, and cherished friend, passed away on December 6, 2025, in Suffield, Ohio, at the age of 57. Born on February 6, 1968, in Akron, Ohio, Rob was a prominent figure in the trucking community, spending many years as a long-time truck driver.
Rob was a graduate of Alliance High School. He had a unique way of bringing joy to those around him, affectionately calling everyone either "bubba" or "bubette." His warm personality made him likable to all who crossed his path. Rob was known as a good man, and his love for his family was evident in every interaction he had. He always had a hug to give, making those close to him feel special and loved.
In addition to his work, Rob enjoyed a variety of interests. He had a passion for decorating, particularly for Halloween and Christmas. Riding his motorcycle brought him great joy, allowing him the freedom to explore the open road. He was also dedicated to caring for his yard and loved tending to his mother's lawn, showcasing his nurturing spirit. Rob enjoying growing zucchini and he was famous for making excellent brownies. He was an avid Steelers Fan.
Rob is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Shelly Clark; his mother, Patricia Warner; and his siblings, Donna Graffuis, Teresa Clark, and Michelle (Brian) Copen, Toni Richens, Curt Warner, Richard (Leenie) Warner and Cathy (Jim) Warner. He cherished his relationship with his many nieces and nephews along with many great-nieces and nephews, and countless other relatives and friends including Amy (Ed) Ostrum and their children, who will keep his memory alive.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert T. Clark, Sr.; step-mother, Carol Clark; step-father, Richard Warner; grandparents Roy and Adelia Johnson; grandparents Thomas Paul and Melba Clark; brother-in-law, Craig Blair; and four beloved cats, who were undoubtedly happy to greet him.
Rob's life will be celebrated during a visitation on Saturday December 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron, Ohio, followed by a funeral service starting at 12:00 PM. As we remember Rob, let us carry forward the essence of his spirit—the warmth, kindness, and indelible joy he brought into our lives.
