Robert Richard Taliercio

Taliercio, Robert Richard, age 84, of Newton, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday morning, February 11, 2026, at Morristown Medical Center after a long illness.

Born and raised in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, NY, Robert also resided for many years in the Bay Ridge section before moving to Newton in 1975 to raise his family.

The son of the late Stephen and Louise (née DellaPorta) Taliercio, Robert graduated from Lafayette High School, Class of 1960. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served until 1963 and was honorably discharged with the rank of SP-4. Robert enjoyed a long career as a printer, retiring from the former Melo Envelope Company in New York, NY.

A loving and devoted family man, Robert enjoyed traveling-especially his many trips to Europe, Ireland, and Poland-as well as cherished family vacations to Hershey Park. A devout parishioner of Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, he also participated in many church-organized trips. An avid golfer, Robert delighted in swimming with his grandchildren in their pool and watching movies with his family, especially classic films.

Robert was predeceased by his five brothers: John, Steven Jr., Gerald, Ronald, and Kenneth Taliercio.

He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Veronica M. (née O'Brien); his son, Robert R. Taliercio, and his wife, Sovanna; his daughters, Jennifer and her husband, Jason Nisler, and Gina and her husband, Ryan Bradley. Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren: Morgan Nisler and her husband, Aaron Albano; Julia Nisler and her companion, Nevin Elsayad; Ivy Kate Nisler; Luke, Noah, Elijah, Gabriel, and Emmylou Mary Taliercio; and Nicholas, Justin, and Laina T. Bradley.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, 48 Tranquility Road (Route 517), Andover, NJ 07821. Memorial visitation will follow from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main Street (Route 206), Newton, NJ.
